GREATEST MUSICAL MOMENTS
:
Playing at the Legendary CBGB's Music Room in New York City with my original band from College, STATE OF GREEN.

In more recent shows with 56DAZE, I had the opportunity to introduce not once, but twice, the #8 NASCAR driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr. to his fans at our shows in the summer of 2004 at the Michigan International Speedway.

HOW I SPEND MY FREE TIME I spend my free time playing with my wife Jen, Daughter Zoe (9), Daughter Sophia (3), and  son Zander (2), doing everything from fishing, golfing, and watching wiggles movies.

Aside from spending time with my family, I like to practice music.  Whether playing keyboards, learning new guitar riffs, or studying vocal leads and harmonies. I write music too!   Click here to check out some of my songs.  I also maintain the website you are looking at now, www.56DAZE.com.

MY MUSICAL HISTORY : Well, I told you about my dad already so I will start with my first band.  "SUDDEN IMAGE" was my band for my high school years.  We would always practice twice a week after school in the high school woodshop.  We played mostly parties and anywhere that people under 21 could play.  We were all basically the Rhythm section members of the high school jazz band, who instead of rehearsing jazz, would blow out whatever noise we could find that week.

After graduating high school, yes it's true, I attended Bowling Green State University where I was supposed to be a jazz studies major.  For 1 full year I sat in a practice room 24 hours a day and really surrounded myself with jazz music.  After a year I finally realized one thing: I DID NOT LIKE JAZZ!  So I got together with some guys who would take me on a 6 year journey playing rock & roll covers and original music.  We cut a CD with the money we made playing covers and hit the original music circuit in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York with hopes of rock stardom. The bands name was "STATE OF GREEN".  During this time I was able to meet a lot of great musicians, open up for a few, and also play in a lot of awesome places.  I have opened up for Cheap Trick, Molly Hatchet, The Goo Goo Dolls and The Violent Femmes.  And besides playing at the Legendary CBGB's where bands like Blondie, the Sex Pistols and the Ramones got their big breaks.  I have also played at the Cleveland Agora Ballroom on the same stage that such greats as Elvis, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones have shared.  Anyway, as all good things must come to an end, so did this.  But it was a great ride!

Finally, after an almost 5 year break from doing anything musical, I met up with a few guys from Adrian, MI to form a band under the current name, "56DAZE".  In fact, I was surprised the battery in my old ensoniq keyboard still worked when I plugged it in after sitting untouched in the case for so long.  Anyway things started to happen for us and we really took off.  We found ourselves with a regular slot for summer fun out at Put-In-Bay.  We even got to travel to Orlando and play for a week at the ARMY's national recruiting convention.  And all the time reaching more and more people in the area who have become our fans and close friends.

Since the incarnation of "56DAZE"we have had a few line-up changes due to lifestyle changes and personal indifferences. I am an original members and believe that our current line-up with Rick , Scott, and Mahlon should last for a very long time.  We thank everyone who has been with us since the start and welcome all our new friends and fans as well.
