BIRTHDAY :  September 30, 1976,  LIBRA

 BACKGROUND:  I have been a freelance percussion performer and teacher since 1994 and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Studies from BGSU in 2002. At BGSU I learned the larger world of percussion including studies in vibraphone, marimba, and concert percussion. Also during this time I performed in big bands, jazz combos, Balinese gamelon ensembles, and various percussion ensembles. I have also performed in countless pit orchestras in Ohio and Michigan including performances at the Stranahan Theatre, The Franciscan Theatre, The Toledo Repertoire Theatre, and the Crosswell Opera House.

Besides performing with 56 Daze, I am also a performer with The Secret Stones, an experimental rock band that is currently working on its first EP.  You can check the band out here: www.myspace.com/thesecretstones.

HOW I SPEND MY FREE TIME:  Listening to records, writing music,recording music, watching other bands perform, practicing drums, watching geeky drum videos.

I love to play music live more than almost anything. It doesn’t matter if it’s rock, jazz, or anything in between. To me they each carry their own unique experiences.
